    MediaNews Group, parent company of the Boston Herald, has a unique opportunity for an advertising expert in the most populous city in New England and the capital of Massachusetts.

Leveraging the belief that people matter as much as technology, our suite of products, including AdTaxi, help advertisers solve complex marketing challenges with custom, performance-driven solutions.  Readers turn to us for all the news and information that matters to them.   Our Multi Media Sales Representatives partner with local businesses to provide total audience advertising solutions.  In addition, Ad Taxi is an exclusive program with the ability to reach 196M or 95% of the U.S. wired population.

     

    Responsibilities

    We are looking for an ambitious and energetic sales executive that is hard-working, competitive and possesses a positive attitude.  You will have the opportunity to manage and grow a local account base as well as develop new business. You’ll be expected to source for leads, research, present and close sales, in-person and on the phone.  An affinity for networking within the community is an asset. Prior success in exceeding sales goals in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment is essential, as are strong organizational and communication skills.

    Qualifications

    • Proven outside Business to Business sales experience preferred
    • Some knowledge of advertising is a plus
    • MS Office and strong computer skills (will also use CRM Tool)
    • Strong time management and communication skills
    • Aggressive and relentless in prospecting for new business and skilled at needs assessment-based selling
    • Consistent in follow up and commitments to prospects and customers
    • This is a full-time position; we offer a base salary plus uncapped commission and full benefits. 
    • Valid driver's license and insurance required.
