    Prairie Mountain Media, a subsidiary of MediaNews Group, is searching for a Circulation Clerk to join the Circulation Operations department!  MediaNews Group offers news reporting and third party advertising and marketing opportunities through its multi-platform products which include: web, mobile, tablet, and print.  We are one of the largest media groups in the U.S., serving high-value audiences and connecting advertisers to them.  MNG publishes award-winning content (49 Pulitzers) that amasses and engages a nationwide audience via 800 multi-media platforms including web, mobile, social, and print.  We are transforming the news industry.

     

    This person will handle a number of key functions surrounding the daily circulation operations from beginning to end as it relates to subscriber records, single copy, home delivery draws, bulk draws, NIE, trucking, reports, route lists, printer management, night mail, etc.., which support field deliveries for the next day. #RL-LI1

    Responsibilities

    • Heavy phone and email communications with field managers, agents, distributors, partners and vendors related to new/old locations, draw/returns, trucking, billing, etc….
    • Key role in Account billing which includes working with contracted billing teams (SSC, and Willoughby) along with vendors to resolve billing errors and insure accurate invoices.
    • Monitoring FTP sites for partner files.
    • Processing imports/exports –troubleshooting.
    • Communicate effectively with all departments on a daily basis regarding operations and results of output of reports. Generate additional reporting as required.
    • Enter starts and stops on a daily basis.
    • Work with Outside sales vendor and Central Call Centers.
    • Assist walk in customers.
    • Work with Call Center to handle emails and voicemails for Longmont and Boulder.
    • Process customer credits and refunds.
    • Process daily advertising and circulation mailed payments and over the counter payments and complete a daily cash deposit.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Solid understanding of newspaper distribution operations and procedures
    • Knowledge of various circulation systems
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Applications
    • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be accurate/detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.

    Physical Working Conditions:

    • Use computer to input data, create spreadsheets and reports. Output results.
    • Heavy email and telephone communications.
    • Stand 5%, Sit 85%, travel through-out building 10% of shift
