The News Herald, a subsidiary of MediaNews Group, is searching for an Account Coordinator to join the team!  MediaNews Group offers news reporting and third party advertising and marketing opportunities through its multi-platform products which include: web, mobile, tablet, and print.  We are one of the largest media groups in the U.S., serving high-value audiences and connecting advertisers to them.  MNG publishes award-winning content (49 Pulitzers) that amasses and engages a nationwide audience via 800 multi-media platforms including web, mobile, social, and print.  We are transforming the news industry. 

Our Account Coordinator will be responsible for collaborating on pre-sales components in addition to managing all post-sale execution of online marketing campaigns based on the contracts and expectations negotiated. This includes performing pre-sale client audits, post-sale client kick-off calls, and reporting reviews. We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure.


  • Submit and implement all approved online orders through SalesForce
  • Liaison between the sales reps and ad ops teams
  • Own the creative process, including building banner ads, spec ads, and creating content for ads
  • Work in Adobe Creative Suite including Indesign, Photoshop
  • Provide budget and campaign optimization recommendations to sales staff to ensure accurate & timely submission of all campaign elements to proper platforms/persons
  • Perform quality control & live data communication, manage campaign renewal scheduling/follow-up with sales staff
  • Maintain access to key reporting systems to pull real-time stats as needed/requested by sales staff
  • Work with sales to confirm accurate billing process for each campaign by reviewing Buysheet submitted by sales staff
  • Determine up-sell opportunities for campaigns based on current digital priorities/promotions
  • Compile and provide performance reports with thorough analysis and insight throughout duration of campaign - presenting to the sales reps and eventually clients if interested
  • Manage collection and development of all creative assets, and facilitate creative proofing and approvals as needed
  • Complete and submit all product set-up related elements and forms for digital campaigns, including but not limited to: Search, Social Media, RTB display/mobile, Video, and first party Owned & Operated products
  • Assist internal team with communicating instructions for RTB, Social, and Email creative builds


  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or comparable degree preferred, Associate's Degree required
  • Experience with Excel - Pivot tables, formulas etc.
  • Organizational and communications - both oral and written
  • Background in Marketing, Advertising or Digital Marketing
  • Attention to Detail
  • Experience with  Salesforce or a CRM is preferred
  • Understanding of paid media - display, Google ads - preferred
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Photoshop preferred

Work Environment


This job is for a normal office work environment with continuous use of a computer/keyboard. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and read written and PC monitor information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds.


This position may be permanent remote.
